The Water Treatment division of Aeris Technologies- Aeris Biological Systems - was formed to remove and control biofilm contamination within industrial water systems using the company's patented AerisGuard multi-enzyme water treatment products.

Since formation in November 2005, Aeris Biological Systems has been involved in extensive field trials with a BHP Billiton Group coal mine and Orica - a large ground water treatment plant with early sales resulting from the trials.

The outcome of the successful trials has been the development of a suite of market segment specific solutions and in the case of the mining company, on-going commercial revenue and an opportunity to expand the relationship to other mining operations.
